July 2017 we experienced a landslide approximate 20' wide across the top of our 300' long bluff bank. This landslide caused a larger discussion about bank erosion at the top and along the bottom of the bank.
Cindy arranged a site visit from Michael Vanlandingham, a shoreline engineer, with the VA Department of Conservation & Recreation. Kristi took notes of our meeting and they are attached below. Mr. Vanlandingham is going to issue a report of his findings. His report will be added to this post.
In the meantime, several of us are pursuing other avenues to help determine what our options are in dealing with the erosion.
